As a company heavily involved in the tow industry We received a somber invitation to join The Wall of the Fallen for towers killed in the line of service. It is another harrowing reminder of how dangerous a job towing is. 50 tow truck operators lose their lives each year entering high risk situations on highways and chaotic tow sites. Even with reflective vests, reflective triangles, and years of experience, you wonder how much protection they actually have against irrational customers, reckless drivers,and angry people. I don't have an answer. As I look for answers I am posing the question to all tow professionals. What advice do you have? Any techniques, or ideas to improve the protection of tow professionals is invited.
